Give me warmth!

My goodness is it cold...in the battle of the divided residents of Michigan : those that love cold weather and those that don't....those that love snow and those that don't...I think the favor is falling on the ones that love it all! We have had WAY too much snow and WAY too much cold this Winter! Every year when January rolls around, I find myself asking the girls, or talking to myself which I do often (is that normal?) : "why do I live here?!?!?!"

I then answer my own question : "because my family lives here"

Well, there you have it. 

I love the beauty Michigan has to offer, but alot of times I think I would be long gone if it weren't for my wonderful family! (Both sides)

So, keeping our house at 65 degrees because of our astronomical heat bill thanks to our desire to live in the country, we bundle up. I think 3 shirts and 2 pairs of socks would do it, but my body heat is leaking somewhere because yes I am a scrawny person, but I am always cold! UGH! 

Well, longing for Summer weather I do have to thank the Lord that He shows himself in the seasons...cold and warm. I don't know if I could live somewhere without the changing of the seasons...there is something so beautiful and spiritual in the sprouting of a green plant after months of cold ice and snow. A reminder that He is faithful and can turn anything into beauty.

I also have to love snuggling my babies in warm cozy sweaters, that which I look forward to hauling out of the closet come August. So, I snapped some pics of my baby love in her "lumberjack" look....a crocheting project that I finally finished. (Gotta love extra time on your hands in Winter!)
